Service Description:
|
Program offering adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to further develop their academic skills while building social skills within a college environment * students have the opportunity to participate in English, math, computers, social skills, job search, and life skills * upon admission, an assessment will be completed in both English and math to provide the student with material corresponding to their own personal needs * once the objectives have been determined, the student will continue to work independently at their own pace with the assistance of a Developmental Support Specialist * the first semester serves as a trial period and provides an opportunity to determine if this is the correct program for the student

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Mature student status (individuals 19 years and older) * must have an intellectual-developmental disability and have a level of independence which will allow integration into full college activity * must be able to work in a one to nine ratio * must provide last school report card and a psychological assessment if applicable
