Service Description:
|
Private services offer a range of health services at home or in a long-term care facility * Provides short-term help when recovering from an illness or injury, provides people with the support they need to stay in their homes, helps make clients nearing the end of life as comfortable as possible, helps people live as independently as possible

Adults and Seniors Rehabilitation services: wide range of rehabilitation services to adults and seniors in the home, workplace or community * Services include: strategies to help you manage your activities of daily living after an illness or disability * mobility and fall risk assessments * equipment recommendations * lift and transfer training * seating and mobility assessments including Assistive Devices Program (ADP) funding authorization * management of anxiety and depression * therapeutic exercises for recovery from surgery, illness or injury * chest physiotherapy * ergonomic and return to work assessments * grief loss * family and marital counselling * palliative care support and information
Occupational therapists: Teach people how to manage every day activities, including caring for themselves or others * caring for their home or return to work or leisure activities
Physiotherapists: Assist in restoring, improving and maintaining physical function affected by injury, disease or disability
Social workers: Provide counselling for concerns such as adjustments to illness or disability, family and marital issues and palliative care needs and options
