Service Description:
|
A non-profit organization focused on providing help to francophone individuals diagnosed with autism and their families while promoting their greater interests.
Main goals and objectives:
- Allow individuals living with autism or other pervasive developmental disorders to develop themselves intellectually;
- Gather parents and professionals to inform them of available services for individuals living with autism or other pervasive developmental disorders;
- Make the public and professionals aware of the problems attached to autism;
- Support the creation of training programs and materials that would be beneficial for individuals living with autism or other pervasive developmental disorders and their caregivers;
- Identify the needs of individuals living with autism or other pervasive developmental disorders when it comes to preschool, school aged, recreational and community programs;
- Make available all documentation, literature and books about the multiple difficulties that face individuals living with autism or other pervasive developmental disorders;
- Offer appropriate links and referrals to community resources, school resources and other resources that exist; and
- Offer technical and emotional support to families affected by autism
