Service Description:
|
Assists low-income families and individuals in maintaining their housing when facing possible eviction due to rental arrears owed * assists with up to two months rental arrears, to a maximum of $1,000 * the funds are available until exhausted

Application:

All applicants must complete a written application form and provide supporting information and documentation as required * all applicants must sign a Release of Information as part of the Application Form * referrals from all local agencies will be considered
|

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Must demonstrate that the household has a low income, or is receiving benefits from Ontario Works (OW) or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP);
* Must live in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell;
* Must be aged 18 or over and priority will be given to families with children;
* Must be at risk of eviction and demonstrate that the situation is temporary (e.g., expecting to receive employment insurance benefits), not chronic (e.g. rent already too high);
* Must not have used this program for funds in the last two years
