Service Description:
|
Early intervention programs that provide early childhood education, health, nutrition, parent involvement and support services to multi-risk children and their families * Services and resources are designed to enhance children's physical and emotional well-being, establish an environment to develop strong cognitive skills and promote school-readiness, as well as provide direct services or referrals to families in need
Special Services of Headstart Programs: speech and language program, referrals and support * transportation for children to and from the program * parenting workshops, case management and referrals

Fees:

Set fees * Each licensed Headstart program has full or partial subsidies for families who qualify * Parents may apply for a subsidy through the City of Ottawa Childcare Registry and Waitlist * For help applying for a subsidy, call or stop by a Headstart program

Application:

Parents may make self-referrals or children may be referred by social service agencies
|
