Service Description: Connects individuals with a developmental disability ("Homesharers") to families and individuals ("Homeshare Providers") in their home within the community * The Homesharer moves into the Homeshare Provider’s home for an indefinite period * Through this experience, the Homesharer becomes a participant in the household and the community

Most Homesharers are already active in the community, attending a wide variety of Day Options and supports in both English and French including supported employment at minimum wage or better in an integrated setting, or work options in segregated settings and supports other than work such as life skills, leisure and community participation *  Individuals may participate on a part-time or full-time basis

The Homeshare Provider receives a daily per diem for room and board and for care and supervision for each Homesharer * The Homeshare Provider also receives an additional payment for relief allowance built into their per diem, as well as seven days of respite * The Homesharer and the Homeshare Provider receives ongoing support from the Homeshare Program Case Managers who make regular visits to provide assistance and guidance

Fees: Homesharers pay for room and board from their Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or employment income
