Service Description:

Community organization that attracts and manages charitable gifts, primarily in the form of permanent endowments, pooled for investment purposes and the annual earnings used for purposes specified by the donor or, in the case of unrestricted funds, to make grants to qualifying non-profit, charitable organizations for activities and programs which improve the quality of life in Ottawa and beyond

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Grants are made to non-profit recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as registered charities
For the competitive grants program, applicants must demonstrate fiscal responsibility and have a committed volunteer board * organizations must be based in Ottawa
Does not consider funding requests through the competitive grants program for: fundraising events and campaign activities * partisan political or religious activities * individuals * sports and recreation, team or club sponsorships * deficit reduction * core operations (equipment for administration, ongoing staff etc.)
