Service Description:

Superior Court of Justice: all jury trials and civil cases, some family cases (including divorce, custody, support and property division), some criminal trials (generally of a more serious nature), some appeals
Ontario Court of Justice: most criminal trials, all bail and preliminary hearings, young offenders, provincial offences, and some family cases (including adoption, support and custody, and child protection)
Civil Court: civil actions involving claims $25,000 and above
Enforcement: administering the filing of writs of execution * enforces civil orders * manages the collection of fine and restitution revenues from the prosecution of criminal offences
Small Claims Court: civil actions involving claims below $25,000
Divisional: appeal court services * hears appeals and applications for judicial review
Crown Attorney: prosecution in criminal trials
Ontario Victim Services: support and services for victims of a crime
