What is COPD?


Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic respiratory disease that may cause shortness of breath, wheezing and cough. Diagnosis of COPD is confirmed by a breathing test or ‘spirometry’. Long-time cigarette smoking is the most common cause of COPD.

Action Plans:
A COPD Action Plan is a set of instructions written out by your health care provider that can help you better manage your asthma. It can help you decide what to do if you have asthma symptoms so that you get them under control as soon as possible.
