Service Description: Community non-profit organization offering financial literacy services to Ottawa’s low/modest income individuals and families.
  • Budget Counselling Service: for people facing financial hardship and/or interested in improving their money management skills
  • Year round tax service: for low-income individuals * can go back up to 10 years
  • Forms assistance with finance-related applications (e.g LEAP, OESP, GIS)
  • Financial Education Workshops: offered in the community upon request and can cover budgeting * planning financially for your education * finding a place to live * credit
  • Interest-free micro loan program: for individuals who can demonstrate ability to repay the loan over a two-year period through attendance of budget counselling sessions
  • "Personal Finance, I’m in charge" Program: n partnership with Desjardins, financial education program geared towards young adults

Eligibility / Target Population: Residents of Ottawa living on low or middle income * Personal Finance Program: Youth between 16 and 25 years old who live in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario
