Service Description:

One of 11 laboratories across the province, offering:
- Clinical and environmental testing
- Clinical consultation
- Technical and customer service
support
Education and training programs for laboratory professionals
Evaluation of new laboratory technologies and methodologies
To prepare for and respond to emergencies, the team: - Provides laboratory surveillance
- Tests for bioterrorism
- Investigates outbreaks
- Supports and contributes resources to incident management
Water testing: Performs potability tests of well water for individual residents in Ontario only. These tests only measure coliform and E. coli * The resident must pick up a special kit at the lab or at a Public Health Unit
